Independent Legal Advice
Deed of Guarantee Solicitors
If you are a limited company making a buy-to-let purchase, your lender may require a personal guarantee from your directors. This is known as a Deed of Guarantee. In many circumstances, you will be required to obtain legal advice independently of your conveyancing solicitor. We can provide you with legal advice from our expert Deed of Guarantee solicitors.

Receive expert advice from our property specialist solicitors
The Deed of Guarantee, also known as a Personal or Director’s Guarantee, is an additional form of security for the mortgage. It protects lenders should the property sale not cover the full loan amount and/or costs associated with obtaining possession in the event of default. Signing a guarantee means assuming some personal liability, so it’s important to have expert legal representation that you can trust. Our experienced team are property specialists and can support you with robust, independent advice. We are thorough in our approach and always put our clients’ best interests first. Not only do we handle all the legal requirements, but we also make sure that you understand the full scope of security given under a personal guarantee.
Please note we may only be able to act for multiple directors where they each have an equal interest in the limited company. Where respective interests in the company are not aligned, the directors may require their own independent legal advice. In all cases where we act for more than one director, we will need to meet with you individually.
